Compare this year's Birthday Celebration to our first birthday, held 37 years ago in 1972.
For more than a decade now, we have been officially celebrating the birth of our Company with an annual Birthday Bash in Dallas and this year was no exception.
Hosted by The Spirit of Dallas (an all Employee volunteer group), “Burgers & Beer Birthday Bash...on a BUDGET” was held this past Friday in Hangar 5 of the Dallas Maintenance facility. With over 1,000 of our closest friends and family in attendance, we celebrated with burgers, cupcakes, bounce houses, music, and of course beer.
However, our birthday is more than just an opportunity to get together and celebrate; it’s also a chance for us to give back to our community. This year, along with Employee donations, a portion of merchandise sales was donated to the North Texas Food Bank!
While the venues and the number of “B’s” in the party’s name have varied over the years, one thing remains the same...the SPIRIT and Culture of Southwest Airlines are not getting older, they’re just getting better!
