Last Tuesday, October 12th, Southwest Airlines celebrated Hispanic Heritage month in beautiful Bryant Park, New York City. We partnered with The Pregones Theater Company to give us a glimpse of the poetry of Sandra Maria Esteves, one of the founders of the Nuyorican poetry movement through the interpretation of "Until We Win" with music and dance.
The event also featured guest speaker Dr. Norma Barquet, CEO of America SCORES. Dr. Barquet spoke on what it means to be Hispanic in the United States. Southwest Airlines is proud of its diverse workforce and continues to celebrate it with its Employees. Southwest Airlines was selected by Hispanic Business magazine as one of the Top 60 Elite companies for Diversity. It was a night of Cultura, Arte y Amistad that we all enjoyed.
