Southwest Airlines’ Emerging Leader Development Program (ELDP) is opening its doors to high-potential Leaders with a drive to work in Southwest Operations. ELDP is an 18-month job rotational program consisting of on-the-job training, with an emphasis in Leadership Development.  During the course of the program, participants work as Supervisors in their host locations in three of the following areas: Customer Service, Operations, Ramp, Provisioning, and Customer Support & Services. In a fast-paced environment that’s always evolving, ELDP graduates have the advantage of Leadership experience in most, or all, areas of Southwest Operations.  Questions? Email ELDP@wnco.com. Get to know Emily Roberts, a recent ELDP graduate who is now a Provisioning Supervisor in Phoenix, and apply now through Monday, September 21. Roberts   Q. How do you live and work the Southwest Way? A: I treat others with the upmost respect and follow The Golden Rule.   Q. What is your favorite food? A: Anything with southern flavor! Guacamole, tacos, cilantro, peppers, my list could go on!   Q. How did you hear about ELDP? A: I knew after college graduation in May 2015, I needed to work for a Company that would invest in me, mentor me, and teach me to be a great Leader. Southwest is a Company known for their Leadership, so I began to look for a development program. Sure enough, I found ELDP!   Q. What is one item on your bucket list? A: Travel around Europe and see as many places as possible!   Q. If you could give one piece of advice to future ELDP Leaders, what would it be? A: Be all in. Do all you can to soak in every piece of advice, experience, and interaction you have with those you Lead, other Supervisors, Leaders, and Customers.
