Holiday Thanks to Southwest Employees

Each year, Southwest Employees involved in the Companywide Culture Committee, gather together to stuff 3,000 goodie bags full of trinkets and treats to give to our hardworking Flight Attendants and Pilots who sacrifice being home with their Family, to keep our red bellied beauties braving the skies for the Holidays.

We have thousands of dedicated Southwest Employees who keep our airline up and running during the Christmas Holiday, but our Flight Crews spend their Holiday away from home.  To give these Employees a little extra cheer as they checkin for the night at their crew hotel, giving them a bag full of goodies from Southwest is the least we can do to say, “Thank You.”

Because we are the Low-Fare airline, our appreciation wouldn’t be possible without our generous Southwest Partners.  Because of these great relationships, thousands of items were donated to show appreciation for our Flight Crews.  We understand, receiving chocolates and other items cannot give them back that time they are missing with their loved ones, but it shows that Southwest realizes the sacrifice they are making, and we truly appreciate it.

Thank you to the following Partners for contributing to our Christmas Spirit Event and making it extra special for our Employees:  Pratt & Whitney, Leading Edge Aviation Services, Kraft Foods Inc., The Coca-Cola Company, King Nut Company, Oakfield Farms, Miller Brewing Company, Willis Global Aviation, Dr. Pepper Bottling Co. of Texas, and Irving Oil.
