I have GREAT news to share about expansion of our service at Washington!  As a result of Southwest’s recent slot purchase, we’ll add new service to and from Reagan/National (DCA) airport in three separate waves later this year.   Effective August 10 (available on March 21)
  • Chicago/Midway          6 new flights                (New market)
  • Nashville                     3 new flights                (New market)
  • New Orleans               2 new flights                (New market)
Effective September 30 (available on March 21)
  • Chicago/Midway          3 added trips               (9 total)
  • Tampa Bay                 2 new flights                (New market)
Effective November 2(available on May 19)
  • Akron/Canton                TBD
  • Dallas/Love Field           TBD
  • Houston/Hobby             TBD
  • Indianapolis                  TBD
  • St. Louis                      TBD
Besides being incredibly convenient to everything the District of Columbia has to offer, it’s proven to be a wonderful complement to our existing service at Washington/Dulles, as well as to the tremendous operation (and emerging international beachhead!) we’ve established at Baltimore/Washington.  It also adds to the existing service pattern we offer from DCA with nonstops to Atlanta, Kansas City, Milwaukee, and Ft. Myers. Specific details—such as details for the November additions and possible facility changes—will be coming later.  But this gives the Southwest Family even more reason to celebrate this spring!  Enjoy the week, everyone.
