Southwest Airlines Operations at Houston Hobby (HOU) are cancelled through Saturday afternoon as we continue to monitor the tropical storm’s progress. Customers should check their flight status via southwest.com or our mobile app prior to heading to the airport.

We will continue monitoring HOU conditions and provide updates as information becomes available. For information on American Red Cross support in the area, you may to go redcross.org/shelter or download the app "Flood by American Red Cross".

Our hearts are with our Customers and Employees in the Houston area—both at the airport and in surrounding areas affected by flooding. Now is a time when all of our Servant's Hearts beat strong with the desire to help. At this time, donations to our disaster response partners listed on southwest.com is the most helpful thing you can do. In the coming days, these organizations will need funding to purchase and place supplies in the right places. As recovery efforts begin, we’ll work with our partners to communicate volunteer opportunities for those of you wishing to participate.

Customers should check their flight status via southwest.com or our mobile app prior to heading to the airport. A Customer travel advisory is in effect, offering added flexibility to flight changes for Houston and surrounding cities. A travel advisory is in effect through Tuesday for Harlingen. As always, our main focus is the safety of our Customers and Employees while making sure our flights operate safely to their destinations.
