Southwest Airlines Recognized for Excellence in Social Media

Representatives from more than 20 of the leading airlines recently gathered in London for the annual SimpliFlying Awards for Excellence in Social Media.

In its sixth year, these are the longest running awards celebrating the achievements of top airlines in digital and social marketing.

A panel of six judges, made up of experts in the airline industry, review each airline’s commitment to and demonstration of innovativeness, engagement, and business impact to determine the winners for each category.

Out of the ten categories, Southwest stole the show by winning in three categories. Southwest was recognized with these awards for excellence in social media:

  • Best Airline in Customer Service
  • Best Airline in North America
  • Best Airline in Social Media

Today I realized that I had entered the wrong return travel dates for flight #898, for four family members and myself.  We all are going out to Washington D.C. to  attend my Granddaughers graduation in June.   I was so upset and confused as what to do, but when I called the Southwest Service Department and talked with the representative Sandra, she immediately put me at easy and within minutes she had corrected the dates for me and my family members.  What a blessing....

 

Southwest has alway been there for me in every need that I have had over the years...  Always a pleasure flying Southwest!!

I spent 79 minutes ON HOLD with music playing and every few seconds interrupted by a computer saying "sorry......'  and I think 'oh here is someone to help me' ...........music .....a voice "sorry....."  music " sorry " music" sorry "  because SOUTHWEST screwed up my MY ACCOUNT.   If it was just music, no sorry sorry sorry, I could tell if a live human was there.

 

 

 

 

i am still on the phone  my timer stopped at 99 minutes.
