This is a guest post from our partners at Bryant Park Corporation in New York City. A new trend among young DIYers is the crafting of flower crowns. Decorated with beautiful blooms, these headdresses are a great accessory for spring. To give you the skills necessary to create your own, Southwest Porch at Bryant Park in New York City is holding a Flower Crown Crafting workshop on the evening of Wednesday, April 6. Brianne Manz of the Stroller in the City blog is hosting the session, which runs from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Come by and make a gorgeous crown while enjoying a beer, glass of wine, or signature cocktail, available for purchase at the bar. All the materials you need to build your crown are provided for free while supplies last, and each participant will also receive a complimentary spring-themed cookie to snack on. Southwest Porch is the park’s cozy niche where you can relax while sitting in luxurious outdoor furniture. With food and beverage service provided by Ark Restaurants (the same group that operates Bryant Park Grill and Café), it’s a fabulous spot for a drink and snack al fresco. No purchase is necessary to enjoy the Porch, however, so you can also simply come by and give your feet a rest from strolling the park.
