I just checked Alaska, Allegiant, Frontier, and Spirit and they all require check in at the airport. Which airlines allow you to checkin online to get a good boarding group?  Youre coming off really harsh to say “WORST Military Airline“ Not only do military receive preboarding but there are no weight restrictions on your luggage.

Alaska, Allegiant, Frontier and Spirit all have assigned seating, Southwest does not. So you're comparing apples to oranges.

Also, it's important to note that military do not pre-board on Southwest. Active duty military in uniform are allowed to board after the A group / before the B group, but since most military do not travel in uniform, this policy is a disappointing one for many service members.

And, to be clear: Military members are exempt from the two-piece baggage limit and are not subject to oversize or overweight fees, but all bags must be under 100 pounds in weight and 80 inches in size (L+W+H).

(There are many discussions about that on this board if you'd like to learn more about the experiences of military members traveling on Southwest.)

It is disappointing that you must be 'in uniform' to be boarded between A and B. We purchase the Early Bird which is now usually $25 per trip
