Cancelled flight = Loss of Boarding Status

A-List Preferred flyer here.  So I was just on a canceld flight, had a A19 Boarding Group/Position.  New flight/2flights have a C38/C01 Group/Position respectively.

Why not give those status travellers who was affected from Flight disruptions a upgraded boarding position if available?

Since boarding positions are already assigned to other passengers on the later flights, better boarding positions are not available. However, since you are A-List, you can board at the end of the "A" line. You do not have to wait for C38 or C1 to board.
