Another great benefit of EB to consider is this: getting check in automatically is helpful if you will be busy exactly 24 hours out from your flight?  Since EB reserves you place, you don't have to be standing by to check in at the exact minute.  In a meeting? Not prob...check in later.

 

As folks have said, getting EB is good when you are flying between two big SW airports, which you are.  If you are travelling alone and don't care where you sit and can check in exactly 24 hours out, you are still likely to grab a window or aisle even without EB.
