This will be our first time flying and we are traveling from TX to CA, with a connecting flight/plane change in Phoenix AZ, still on Southwest. When we switch planes do our baggages transfer to the new plane as well or do we have to go get them from the baggage claim then check them in again for the flight from Phoenix to CA? Also do we have to checkin for our flight from Phoenix to CA or is all that already done for us?
Thank you!

Solution
Hi
If you purchased a ticket from TX to CA that has one stop you only check in once, 24hrs before your scheduled flight out of TX. When you check your bags in TX they will be checked all the way through to your final destination in CA.
