I am 75 years old. It is my understanding that I should receive the TSA Pre automatically but I am not receiving it. They even have signs up at security that says that I qualify! Why am I not getting it?

Hello.
I don't think that people at age 75 automatically get TSA pre. Eveyone that wants Pre has to apply for it. TSA does randomly give travellers pre. I'm unaware of how TSA selects people to receive this benefit, but it is not limited to those who are at least 75.
TSA DOES provide those that are at least 75 access to an expedited screening process IN THE REGULAR SCREENING LINES. You'd be allowed to keep your light jacked and shoes on.

TSA has really reduced the number of people that "randomly" get selected for Pre-Check and there is no automatic inclusion in Pre-Check after a certain age so if you want it, you'll need to apply for it. As @dfwskier points out, there are different screening processes available to people 75+, these are sometimes referred to as "Pre-Check lite", but actual Pre-Check is almost always a much better experience.
