You know the self check kiosks where you get your tags and boarding passes. This whole process is bad business. I am in Fort Lauderdale Airport as I type this. The belts went down and the luggage has to be manually toted to the gates by the workers.
Please tell me why the lines are backed up to the doors? The whole point of self check is to move customers through at a speedy pace? The customers did the bulk of the job already why even the need for people behind the counter? Just check weight and verify names to luggage at the self check kiosks. The self check kiosks are just as slow as the normal old fashioned way to check in. It doesn't help that the people behind the counter are slow, incompetent and untrained for chaos and confusion.
Its 2017 there are much better efficient ways of doing this southwest.
