Sorry to beat a dead horse, but I cannot find a clear answer. Does my three year old need to sit in a car seat while on the plane? Can she just sit in a regular seat with the seatbelt?

Solution
Child Restraint Systems
Proper use of a Child Restraint System (CRS) enhances child safety onboard the aircraft. For this reason, Southwest Airlines and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) strongly recommend securing infants and small children who weigh 40 pounds or less in a CRS that is government approved for use onboard.

Hi @Brad09821,
A child restraint system is recommended, but it is not required. Happy travels - we look forward to seeing you onboard!
