Hello, I would like to book a flight on Southwest, but I need to know a little more about family boarding. My finance and I are taking his mom who as dementia with us and would like to sit together, since she has never flown before and has this problem. Any suggestions from anyone on how to do this?

You would request a pre-board ticket which lets your mom and one person board the plane before everyone else. They would take a row near the front and then you would join them in the normal boarding order. The only caveat with pre-board is that you can not sit in the emergency exit rows if you pre-board.
