Grandma traveling with Granddaughter

Is any identification or release from me needed for my daughter to travel with my mother?  I don't want to complicate things, but I also think of the day and age we live in with human trafficking and all and can't imagine she can just walk on a flight with her.

If they are traveling on a domestic flight no documentation is required.  There is a form you can fill out if they are traveling internationally, let me know if you need it and I'll dig it up.  Sadly, the only time I've heard of people having trouble flying domestically is when the child is adopted and doesn't look like the adult they are traveling with.
