My mom flies Southwest frequently and we have decided to get her a Know Traveler Number. She is approaching 80 and sometimes gets confused. Can you tell me whether I will be able to escort her thru the prioritized gate? I do not have the Global Entry Card.

Non-Passenger Escort:
"We offer Non-Passenger Escort (NPE) passes to people who are accompanying or meeting a Customer with a disability to/at the Customer's gate. NPE authorization should be requested from a Southwest Airlines Customer Service Agent at our ticket counter or Skycap podium. Please advise the Agent that you need to accompany/meet a Southwest Passenger to/at the gate to accommodate the Passenger's disability. You will need to present photo identification and a copy of the Southwest Customer's itinerary. We recommend reviewing our Suggested Airport Arrival Times page to determine how far in advance you should arrive at the airport terminal so that you have plenty of time to park, wait in line to receive a NPE pass, go through the security checkpoint, and get to the gate".

Hi @SaraLynn,
Yes, you can talk to the Customer Service Agents at the ticket counter about obtaining an NPE (Non-Passenger Escort) document that will allow you to assist your mom to the gate. Looking forward to seeing you both soon!

Lindsay, yes I've done that before -- I'm wondering if I will be able to get through the fast TSA line. Can you help me with that?

Hi @SaraLynn,
The TSA (Transportation Security Administration) is a separate entity from Southwest Airlines. You can consult with them about their policies and procedures regarding non-KTN NPEs who are escorting a KTN/GEC passenger.
There may be accommodations that can be made, but you will need to obtain an official response from TSA. You can contact them at (855) 787-2227 or email TSA Cares.
