How to bring Dyson V10 to destination

I need to bring a Dyson V10 vacuum on my flight from LAX to Dallas.  Is this allowed, if so, what is the best way to do it?

I suspec it's too big to be a carry on since the size limit is 24-16-10.

If you have the original box, the best bet is to rebox it. If not, find another box it fits in.

Then check it in as baggage.

*Update* my fiance checked in the Dyson V10 with no problems!  We kept it in the original box and wrapped the box with brown paper.
