Why is the flight attendant referring "Texas" as "Tejas" on Flight 3540, on Sep. 30, 2018 from BWI to SAT? We are not flying to and fro Mexico and it is not a Mexican airline.

This just sounds like a SW employee who was having a good time and trying to make a fun, lighthearted atmosphere. Things like this are actually what I love about SWA.

@notejas I sure hope that the FA was trying to have a good time with the passengers, and doesn’t have a speech impediment.

As @elijahbrantley said I believe this was just the FA trying to be funny I'm sorry if you didn't think it was funny. To me it's just like if I landed in Vegas and they say welcome to lost wages Nevada then following with a good luck and have a great time announcement.

Since we're on the topic of Texas humor...
Q: How do you know if someone is from Texas?
A: You don't have to, just wait a few minutes and they will tell you.

Being a Texan myself, I can vouch for this.
