Subject to Government Approval. Southwest is currently awaiting government approval for this route. We anticipate approval to be granted shortly with no impacts to your travel plans

All international flights are subject to both governments being in agreement that the flights are allowed.  These agreements can change or be cancelled at any time, thus Southwest's international flights could be impacted at any time. Under normal conditions, once an agreement is in place it tends to stay in place. There was a problem awhile back when starting new routes to Mexico and some of the initial flights were cancelled, but all appears to be running smoothly now.

Are you looking at flights on a route currently being serviced or something new?

All the flights from MDW to CUN, starting March 8th through April 6th (spring break) have note subject to government approval. We got our tickets in August and there was no note like this, called SW they said it is just a disclaimer and most likely everything will be good, now we are week away from our trip and Im kind of worried...
