NoteBoeing 737-MAX8 Aircraft are currently grounded by the FAA. Until the MAX8 aircraft returns to service, Southwest plans to operate MAX8 flights with a different aircraft type. Flight schedules and aircraft type remain subject to change per the Contract of Carriage.

Question:

Is there anywhere else I can check my aircraft type?

Answer:

Customers also have the ability to view aircraft type on the flight status pages on Southwest.com as well as iOS and Android mobile apps. As changes to the aircraft type are made, the aircraft type indicator will update immediately. Customers will also be able to view aircraft type on Southwest.com in the Select Flight flow, as they had previously. Customers using the mobile app must have the latest version 6.8 downloaded to view the aircraft type in flight status.
