Qualifying for Companion Pass

Currently I have 91,000 points.   IF I upgrade to a differnent card I get a bonus of 5000 points.   I also just received my anniversary points of 6000.   Do these 11,000 points count towards my companion pass points?

The bonus points from credit cards typically count - for new account holders you will see big bonsues advertised with the goal of enabling someone to earn CP very early in the year if timed correctly.

So read the fine print on your offer, but most likely yes. Also check if there is a spending requirement. The bonus might not be earned until a spending amount is met, which could be in a future billing cycle - if that's the case you'll need to be sure to hit yours and have statement closing before the end of the year.

The anniversary points should post along with any other credit card points that month, so yes. But if your credit card statement has posted already, then they are included in the 91,000 already.
