40 years ago, I adopted a little boy from India. Today, I was honored to be present at the Department of Veteran Affairs Banquet, where my son Ravi was named Civil Servant of the Year for his work at a Medical Supply Technician at the St. Paul Veterans Hospital. I flew here yesterday from Milwaukee on Southwest....it was a wonderful flight and I was congratulated by everyone I told the reason why I was coming to Minnesota from Wisconsin. This humble, shy boy has become a role model to others...as he once said, my brother grew in my mother's stomach, but I grew in her heart. Tonight, my hear is busting with joy and pride.....this is the best early Mother's Day present and Southwest's Frequent Flyers rewards helped me come for just the cost of the tax! Thank you Southwest! My son has soared and so do you!
