Book flight using different RR number

Am I able to book a flight and use my boyfriend's rapid rewards number so that he earns points instead of me? Or does the ticket account information need to match the rapid rewards information?

Hello.

Sorry, but only the holder of the RR account can earn RR points. So yes the traveller information must match the name on the RR account.
