Missing Hotel Points

I was wondering how do you get credit for missing hotel points that were booked through southwest hotel?  When i booked my room included my RR number and i completed the stay 2 weeks ago.

I would call the hotel first, it would be their obligation to report the stay back to Southwest so that the points could be credited.
