companion pass

Been seeing online that you used to be able to take only a part of the trip with your companion. ie, leaving from different cities and then meeting up at the connection for the last leg. Now, they are saying that the companion has to book the exact same flight from the origin city??

or else book the two legs separately, which costs as much as just paying for the companion.

Solution

Companions have always been required to fly the same itinerary as the primary ticket holder.
