Come on Southwest - I urge you to reconsider your refund policy under these extreme circumstances!

SOUTHWEST AIRLINES -- you need to seriously reconsider your refund policy during this federal and global crisis. Cruises have been cancelled. Hotels are closing down. Schools and Universities are closed. These are all things beyond any of our control. Yet Southwest Airlines won't assist THEIR OWN CUSTOMERS during these extreme circumstances?!  At the very least, waiving the fee and auto extending all credits that will expire before this ordeal passes!! YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE BUSINESS GOING FORWARD IF YOU DO NOT TAKE CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS NOW DURING THIS! My husband and I have 2 tickets to Las Vegas 3/20 - 3/23 that total 805.96; however, we received an email today from MGM Resorts stating that ALL their Las Vegas hotels and casinos will be closing today and will not reopen until 4/1, but our credit expires 3/25. A lot of people, us included, have to save for a while to take these trips so losing that money is a big deal to us. Even paying the $200 fee (100*2) to get a 6 month extension is a big deal to us. SOUTHWEST AIRLINES NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING TO HELP THEIR CUSTOMERS THROUGH THIS. I would've hoped they would be more compassionate and cooperative.

I'd suggest that you plead your case with the airline

Since this is a customer to customer forum, you are not doing that here.

See on Twitter and Facebook company is not budging off their stance. Everyone should know what companies went the extra mile during this emergency for their customers. Southwest seems to to be greedy and heartless . Sad as they claim they are a company with heart. Just wasted 2 hours with customer relations that won’t do anything for my situation.

@Susanadels What other airline is doing more than Southwest? Not a single one.

If you provided more information perhaps someone here could provide suggestions for you.

Southwest is aware of the issue with expiring travel funds and they know it's a hot issue. As the situation continues to get worse hopefully adjustments will be made to policy. Stay tuned.
