We will be flying an international flight from Atlanta, directly to Cancun. The gate is C concoursse. Do we go to the international terminal or through the the regular Southwest Terminal?

Hi Doctor1,

You can check in at the regular Southwest Airlines Terminal in Atlanta. Even though it's the domestic terminal, there will be a specific ticket line for international flights.

Enjoy your trip!

Does Southwest have a check-in counter at the International terminal in Atlanta?  We are flying to Cancun and would like to check our bags at the international terminal since the security lines are so much shorter.  Thanks.

Hi @holiver,

Southwest Airlines does not have a desk in the Atlanta International Terminal. You can check in at our ticket counter in the main part of the airport.

we are flying to Punta Cana this week so doe this apply to us as well?  In other words, do we need to bypass the international terminal and check in at the domestic counter?

I believe there was another recent thread that said since Southwest flies out of C gates, use the main terminal if you are checking any luggage.

Southwest doesn't maintain any curbside or ticket counters at the international terminal.
