Does anyone have any insight into why certain flights are chosen for cancellation? We've been trying to get some family on a flight from Orange County (SNA) direct to Denver (DEN), and the last 2 flights that we've booked have gotten cancelled. Wondering if it's better to try for a connection through somewhere, and if so, where?

I've actually found more flights with connections cancelled than non stops on the routes I fly.
Just keep watching as Southwest cancels flights it books ticket holders on other flights.

Thanks. Flights out of there are drying up, so as soon as we get the cancellation text, we're rebooking. Haven't given Southwest time to do it for us I guess.

That's the smart thing to do.
