Cadet Program plus 4 year degree?

The 225 Cadet program sounds amazing, but I'm unclear on how it works with the Pilot's requirement for a 4 year degree. If a high school graduate joins the program, completes the cadet program successfully, are they still required to also complete a 4-year college program to be eligible to become a First Officer Pilot?

Thanks!

@josieluvs have you checked out the FAQ part of the programs?

Sounds like an amazing opportunity. Good luck to you!

I did, thanks! The closest thing to an answer was: "Destination 225° was created to equip participants with the skills needed to start their career as a Southwest First Officer and is designed to build a pipeline of talented Pilots for Southwest." However, it also links to to the requirements of a pilot here: https://careers.southwestair.com/pilots  which clearly states you need a four year degree.

I'm trying to determine if the new cadet program replaces that need or not.

Your concern seems specious, wasn't there mention that college tuition would be paid for cadets in the program? Remedial English/Math/etc. https://essays.agency

courses are offered at all colleges.
