Thanks to everyone for your interest!

@kallison04, @kbsmith, @Crysler_Scalres: A cover letter is not required, but if you choose to include one you will need to upload it as part of the same document as your resume.

@Rori3691, @calabria66, @KimVanderKley: The Letters of Recommendation will be asked for if you are chosen for an in-person interview. Although we recommend you begin gathering them now to reduce stress in the future, they are not required or asked for as part of the application process.

@Asiar2k11: Once the position is live, you can find it at southwest.com/careers. You will click the position, then click apply!

@VRiggs: Today's date is February 5th.

Hi @JC34,

I am a Specialist in our People Department (which is what we call HR here at Southwest). My job is responding to all of our great candidates here, as well as managing all Social Media for our Hiring efforts. Thanks for asking!

I can totally relate to this story. The amazing service I have received over the years is why I openly share with people that I am a Southwest snob. I will ALWAYS choose southwest to get to my destination even if it means renting a car and driving a bit.  I have always wanted to be a flight attendant. I first applied to another airline (before my Southwest transformation) but then found out I was pregnant and did not want to be away from my baby so I gave up the dream.

After winning my battle with cancer in 2013 I have decided that I can do anything and that time is precious so here I am 53 years old applying for a job that pays nearly half of what I make now but It is my dream and I can hope to make it to the interview process. A 1 in 200,000 shot is crazy but I will take it! I am a mammographer and in my current job I fight every day to do my best to make sure the women I image have the best shot at early detection. I also understand It is not always just about the mammogram. I have prayed with perfectly well women, cried with patients that have experienced a loss and so much more. I am regularly recognized for my patient care and I hold those recognitions dear to my heart on the rough days. I know I can bring that world class LUV to the skies if I get the chance.

So it is finally here 2/5. I have been checking since midnight ...nothing but crickets... the suspense is killing me. My resume is loaded. Hang in there fellow applicants. We can do this!

I can't I apply for flight attendant??  It keeps saying this position isn't available at this time.  I was told applications were being accepted today at 10:00 am.
