Southwest officially opened our newest Pilot and Flight Attendant Crew Bases at Denver International Airport (DEN) on Monday.

The lounges will be located on the third level of concourse C at DEN.  The Company also started line maintenance in Denver, which will be the first time Southwest has had this function at its operation at DEN.

"The new Crew bases and our line maintenance demonstrate our longterm commitment to Colorado and our successful operation at DEN,” said EVP Chief Operating Officer Mike Van de Ven.  "Our expansion reflects the increasing demand among Mile-High Customers for Southwest's low fares and frequent flights, and our Pilots, Flight Attendants, and Maintenance Employees will be proud to call Denver home."

In addition to the Crew Bases, the Company will now have six local Maintenance Employees perform routine maintenance as needed for flights flying to/from DEN to streamline our growing operation in the Mile High City.  With 166 flights per day out of DEN, it just makes sense to provide more services at that location.

Congratulations to all of our newly-based DEN Employees, and let’s take a look at our Flight Crews’ newest home there!
