Does Everyone at Southwest Airlines Have a Twin?

They say that everyone in the world has a twin – I don’t know if I believe it, but I think I must have “one of those faces.”  My friends who have known me for years laugh every time it happens, but at least twice a week someone tells me I look familiar: they think we went to high school together or I’m someone’s sister or they recognize me from somewhere.

Well, I discovered recently that my dog Sam has a twin living in California.  I recently wrote an article about my two rescue dogs and our new P.A.W.S. (Pets Are Welcome on Southwest) program in the August issue of Spirit Magazine, along with details of the program, which included a photo of the three of us.  (See pdf file below for article.)

Polly Louise and Samuel Adams (my two dogs) are now famous and have even received fan mail.  One of our Customers, Angelica, sent an e-mail about her dog, Cody, who looks just like Sam!

It’s so fun to see, because, like Angelica, I thought Sam was totally unique.  I have never seen a dog that was quite like what I suppose his mix to be: pug, beagle, lab, Boston bull terrier, etc, etc.

Polly Louise has a twin, too, who happens to live three houses away.  I may be biased, but I don’t think he is quite as cute as Polly, but even I do a double-take when I see him walking down the street.  So, thanks, Angelica, for sharing photos of Cody.  And to those reading this: I am probably not your friend’s sister, and we probably didn’t go to high school together, but it doesn’t matter, it’s great to meet you.

And, the next time you travel on Southwest Airlines with your furry friend, snap a photo and load it to our Flickr feed.  We’d love to see those sweet little P.A.W.S!
