Today, Southwest Airlines announces our intent to serve Honolulu, HI (Oahu); Kahului, HI (Maui); Kona, HI (Island of Hawaii); Lihue, HI (Kauai). While we do not yet have details to share on exact dates or routes, they do represent our initial footprints and top priorities for the soonest service in the State of Hawaii.

Today, Southwest announced our intent to serve Paine Field in Everett, Washington where a new two-gate facility is currently under construction. An airport seldom first allows commercial service so close to a major metropolitan area—so Southwest wants to bring some Heart to Paine!

Our daughter, Brittany, was scheduled to give birth by cesarean section on December 1. Plans quickly changed when she went into labor the day following Thanksgiving—Southwest helped us get to Brittany and baby Andrew as quickly and easily as possible.

Effective August 1, Southwest is adding fast, easy nonstop flights between the Long Beach Airport and California’s capital city, Sacramento. Our new Long Beach-Sacramento service, operating twice each weekday, not only adds another link between Southern and Northern California—it also adds another convenient way to connect Long Beach with the rest of the large Southwest network from the Pacific Northwest to the East Coast, and everywhere in between!
On June 7, 2016, Southwest began service to Long Beach Airport.
