I had to put my elderly father on Southwest Flight 1143 today out of William Hobby airport after he spent a week at MD Anderson. When checking his bag and walker his weight was over by 2 lbs and instead of offering alternatives they just charged him $75. He was on lifting limitations so we packed what he couldn’t carry on into his checked bag. We have travel Southwest for years and have always felt their customer service to be the best but after today I was very disappointed.
