My mother had knee surgery and needs to keep her leg straight at all times. She is planning to enter and exit the plane with a wheelchair. She will need to sit in the first row. Will she be able to place something under her foot to elevate it, even during takeoff and landing? Is there an exemption or acception to accommodate for this situation?
