I've noticed that the deals that Southwest promotes are great deals if you aren't traveling far. I can drive to Indianapolis or Detroit for a lot less than what they offer but when I look for travel from Chicago to LA or Phoenix or the West Coast the deals are just not there. Is there a reason for this?

I agree. I notice that the places most ppl dont travel to on a normal basis is affordable.

Glad I'm not the only one that notices this. It would be nice if they gave affordable pricing to places other than just the ones I can drive to more affordably

Pretty much for the last two years the only specials coming out of Manchester, NH (MHT) are to Baltimore and Chicago Midway. I get excited seeing the email, open it up and see the same deal time and time again. Very rarely is there another airport on the list. I don't even open the deals anymore knowing exactly what they will be.
