My dad is having surgery at the end of this month and will not be able to attend our trip in July. Can I change the name on his ticket to someone else? I would hate for the ticket to go to waste...
Thanks

Hello
unfortunately tickets are non transferable and non refundable if you booked the wanna get away fare so the best thing to do is to cancel the ticket and he will have a year from the original date of purchase of this reservation to fly on another southwest flight but only he could use those funds no one else will be able to use them to fly.
if you booked an anytime business select or senior fare those are refundable and you could cancel get a refund and book for the new person after you get the refund.
hope this helps
Blake

FYI: If you did happen to buy a "refundable" fare (Senior, for example) then you'll only be able to get a refund if you've made no changes to the itinerary.
