New Orleans Baggage Claim

Why is it that it takes so long to get your checked bags in New Orleans. Many times I will wait 30 minutes or more from the time I get to the belt to when it begins moving with the bags. When the plane lands and is going to the gate, there is no one around the baggage vehicles to start removing bags. At other airports (TPA, BNA, ATL) workers are either sitting on the vehicles or standing right next to them. 

Southwesr does a great job of getting us to our destination on time, but we lose time in New Orleans waiting for our bags.

Have you ever flown into LAX or LGA?  You would be happy waiting only 30 minutes for your bags. Now when I fly, all my belongings either have to fit in my carry-on, or they are being left behind. Try simplifying when you fly. It will change your entire experience.
