Hi - I have travel funds from a cancelled trip. The trip was purchased 6/28/2019 for travel on 7/21/2019. I had planned to use the funds but have hesitated to use them since January due to the coronavirus situation. I understand that travel funds expiring 3/1/20-5/31/-20 will now expire 6/30/21. Must I really book travel now, or lose the funds?

Under the current policy your travel funds that expire 6/28/2020 will expire at that time and you would need to complete travel by that date. Could policies change? Sure, but I would go ahead and start making plans to travel before 6/28 if you don't want the funds to expire.

Book a flight using your travel funds. Wait a day and then cancel it. You'll now have travel funds that expire June 30, 2021.
