I don't fly too often but I have a conference to attend in Niagara Falls area next February. The WGA fares seem decent now, and my outbound flight from Ontario CA says "3 seats left." Do I book now, six months in advance, or should I wait until 8-10 weeks out? I get the Click n' Save emails but it's not clear if I have to buy now to get the best fare or not.

The prices are like the stock market, they go up and down. If you purchase now and the price goes down you can change your reservation and receive a credit for a future flight. The credit would be good for one year from the date of purchase not the flight date. If you think the price is decent, you are not wrong.
Good luck!

Very limited upside to waiting, especially if the current price seems reasonable.
