before I book my flight, I would like to know if I can cancel my flight before I get charged, or is it non refundable.

Federal law lets you cancel any ticket and receive a refund-- within 24 hours of the ticket's purchase.

 

After 24 hours, you can cancel an Anytime or Business select flight and get a refund

cancel a Wanna Get Away and receive travel funds (no refund possible)
