Can I redeem Rapid Reward points online for flights?

My husband and I only have 4000 points each? I'm not sure how to put them towards a ticket when booking online. Do you have to do it over the phone? Do you have to have enough points for the whole trip? We need about 30,000 points to get to Az from Ma to meet our first grandchild! I tried and couldn't find a place to redeem them when buying my tickets.

You must use all points to purchase a ticket, you can't use some of your points and pay the balance in cash.  When you don't have enough points for a round trip its best to purchase two one ways.  Use points for one and pay cash for the other.  You don't have to redeem points, all you do is when searching a flight is click on "show in points" and that will automatically use your points in your account.
