The rule on all points is that it is when you earn them that matters. So if you earn the points concurrent with your 12/25/22 statement, then those points will count for 2022 qualification regardless of when they actually post.

Could Southwest do away with Family Boarding? Sure, they could, but I don't imagine that would ever happen.
Well, if Southwest were to do away with family boarding, it would sure run counter to recent DOT jaw boning
"
The Transportation Department on Friday urged airlines to make it easier for families to sit together on planes at no extra charge.
The department said in a notice to airlines that the carriers “should do everything that they can to ensure the ability of a young child” 13 or younger to sit next to an older family member.

Could it be that most airports do not allow alcohol consumption outside of a few places within concourses.
Besides, doesn't the FAA require FAs to pick up all "loose" beverages prior to landing?

Travel funds shouldn't expire. They're not promotional items. It was real money that was paid for flights that didn't occur in spring of 2020, due to COVID.
People that bought WGA tickets before the rules changes agreed to terms in which in certain circumstances the travel funds would expire. No one forced people to buy those tickets.
That's all that really "legally" matters.

Well, you have been unlucky. For 2022 YTD most airlines hover around having about 20% of their flights being delayed. So, you won't likely have much better luck on the other guy.
The later in the day a flight is, the greater the risk it will be delayed. A plane that leaves on time at 6 am , and runs into a slight 10 am delay will likely see that delay get longer as the day progresses.
So, if you want to better your chances on not being delayed, take the first flight of the day.

That should not be a problem. The two rules to getting a new card bonus are
1) You can't be a current cardholder
2) You can't get a new card bonus within 24 months of the date you got the last one.
Anyone can cancel a card today, and apply for a new one tomorrow.

Southwest has ALWAYS given ticket holders the responsibility for determining their boarding positions - going back to the first day SW took flight..
In the old days, with plastic boarding passes, the first one to the gate to get a pass got A1. The next one got A2. The 61st one got B-1.
When SW went with electronic boarding passes 15-20 years ago it changed to check in determining boarding position, with A-Listers taking priority. Then EB was born allowing passengers to skip the line.
SInce SW's philosophy of giving passengers responsibility for determining boarding positions is a 52 year old philosophy, it is unlikely to change.

Your EB boarding position is based on several factors:
1) How many A-Listers are on the flight. They all will get better boarding positions that EB purchasers.
2) When you buy your EB. EB boarding positions are assigned in the order of purchase. The earliest birds get the best positions and the latest birds get the worst.
It is entirely possible that some EB buyers could get C boarding positions.
EB guarantees only 2 things
1) You don;t have to worry about when you check into get your boarding position.
2) You will get a better boarding position than people that check themselves in at t+24.

Paid the $40 for Early Bird and got boarding # C-15. It seems most everyone on this flight also bought Early Bird and so all ~150 of us were randomly assigned to A-16 to C-15 or higher at the 36 hours advance point, and I was unlucky in this lottery.
Well that is not accurate. Nothing about EB is random. The earliest EB purchaser get's the best available seat and the last EB purchaser gets the worst EB seat.
The Early Bird policy promises hassle-free automatic check-in 12 hours before the schmucks in general boarding whose earliest check-in option is 24 hours. It does deliver on this promise, but when the majority of passengers buy Early Bird, the program FAILS to deliver on their promise to “improve your seat selection options to help you get your favorite seat” (quote from the SWA website).
But is DOES deliver on that promise. EVERY ONE of those EB purchasers got better boarding positions than EVERY ONE of those people that checked themselves in at t+24. hours.
I certainly will not be finding my favorite seat with a C-15 boarding position, and so am super frustrated with the way SWA describes this program. It is truly false advertising and I will be demanding a refund at the airport today.
You don't deserve, and won't get , a refund for the reasons stated above.

Southwest's O'Hare gates seem to be a moving target.
4-5 months ago SW departed from Terminal 5 M1-M3.
@ 2 months ago it was M-14 to M-16
I arrived at M-30 on November 15.
So SW has moved the entire length of the concourse since it arrived at O'Hare

2) Some hotel stays earn up to 10,000 points - in case that makes more sense than binge spending thousands of dollars.

Southwest Airlines captain went above and beyond the call of duty — when he reached out his window to retrieve a phone that a passenger had left behind before boarding.
Video posted by the airline shows the pilot sticking out the cockpit window to grab a phone from a ramp worker after the plane had already left the gate at Long Beach Airport.
The owner had left the device behind before boarding and the plane had already pushed back when a passenger on another flight noticed the phone and alerted ground staff.
The gate agents quickly sprang into action.
“They quickly passed the phone to our Ramp Agents, who jumped it up to the Captain to get it back to the Customer,”

To be absolutely accurate, most credit card purchases post to an account ON THE DAY AFTER
the purchase. They show up as "pending" until then.
'So if you buy something on your statement closing date, then the purchase will show up as payable on the next month's statement, and points will be earned on the next month's statement.

They ARE NOT the same company, so don't blame the airline for the shortcomings of the VACATION group.
Southwest VACATIONS is also know as Apple Leisure Group, and it has an absolutely terrible reputation. I'm sure there are thousands of people who agree that one should not book anything with Southwest VACATIONS.
