Perhaps the one you get as a replacement will be more durable?

That's very odd. No error? It just doesn't go through? Have you tried while logged in and logged out of your RR account? Try without a RR number on the reservation?

As long as you changed the flight and did not cancel/rebook EBCI generally remains on the reservation. There are some exceptions listed in the FAQ copied below. If those do not apply to you you're good to go. You can contact Southwest if you really want to confirm.
If I have EarlyBird Check-In and choose to change my flight, will the EarlyBird Check-In transfer as well?
EarlyBird Check-In can be transferred only if the new flight departs more than 25 hours from the time of the change. If the new flight departs in less than 25 hours, then you will lose your non-refundable EarlyBird Check-In purchase. Additionally, if the change to your reservation involves a new city pair(s), you will need to contact us to have the EarlyBird Check-In transferred.

Available or not, don't do it...redemption rates are horrible. The only good use of Southwest Rapid Rewards points is Southwest flights.

Alternatively, you could look at Southwest hotels. Earlier this year I was able to get 10,000 points for less than $250. Just depends if you want to open another credit card and want to spend the required spend.

If you don't currently have a personal card you can get one and as long as you have not earned a sign up bonus from a personal card in the past 24 months you would be eligible for the sign up bonus.

Interesting as that is the one station that repeatedly gets called out for being slow. Hopefully this is a permanent improvement. Thanks for the report.

Does anyone know when Southwest will post these to our accounts?
Seems that those flights are already showing in the account.

Duplicate post. It appears you received an answer in another thread.

That's not how it works. Only the person flying will see flights listed in their accounts. You purchased the flights with your points, but there's no record of the trip saved in your account. Secondly, the companion pass holder, which seems like you are, has to be flying then they can add the designated companion to the trip. Unless your daughter is a CP holder there's no option to add a free companion on this trip. You could use your points to purchase a flight for the husband if you want.

Try to book tickets for the flight you want. If there's availability to purchase then there's availability for standby. Things can change up to 10 minutes prior to departure though so there's no definitive way to answer you question ahead of time.

2) Is the total TQP that one can earn from charging on SWA credit card still 15,000? I (unfortunately) charge a lot on my cc, thus most of my flights are reward flights. I sure would love to have that A list status.
Thanks, y'all!
You didn't mention which Southwest credit card you have, but some do have the following benefit:
Earn 1,500 tier qualifying points (TQPs) toward A-List status for every $10,000 spent in purchases annually–with no limit on the amount of TQPs you can earn
Check your Chase account and card benefits to confirm your specific offers.

The next schedule release date is already announced here: https://www.southwest.com/air/flight-schedules/
You can certainly write Southwest and request a change. Use the contact us link at the bottom of this page and send a message.

It should not matter, either should be able to take care of it. If you have no reason to go to the check-in counter, I would take care of it at the gate.

I am trying to see what steps I should take to ensure this doesn’t happen to me or anyone else with a medical or disability issue.
If this is a life threatening issue you should definitely be bringing your own water onboard. There are often flights that are too turbulent to serve beverages, what would you do in that situation if you were relying on being served?
There is a time during the flight when the cabin needs to be prepared for landing and in this instance it appears you didn't request a drink until that time, when it is too late to begin service. As you disagreed with how this was handled, you can send your feedback regarding this issue to Southwest, use the contact us link at the bottom of the page.

Spring break, Las Vegas (or anywhere), on a Sunday... that's pretty high demand so it's not completely surprising Southwest does not have any Wanna Get Away fares available. Southwest is betting it can sell those seats without discounting them. You can book an Anytime fare and cancel it if a WGA fare becomes available or book a different date/airline.

Did you book the trip as one reservation and when you booked it the system said you have a connection? If so, your bags will be transferred for you and you just need to get yourself to the next plane.

Doesn't sound like you are seeing any of the improved messaging though. Did you also try checking in via the mobile website while not logged into your account?

Good reminder, sadly there will be people who do not get the timing right and will be very disappointed.
Also, if you haven't started yet, don't. Wait until November or so to begin the process so you earn CP in early 2023 and have CP until Dec 31, 2024. Now is not the time to be applying for a Southwest credit card.

I think perhaps the answer is so simple that you may be overlooking it on the page that says what activity qualifies toward A-List and A-List Preferred.
Activity: Qualifying flight
That means ANY points earned from completing the actual flight are TQP, regardless of fare. So yes, flying on a BS fare is a great way to quickly earn many more TQP. In fact, this is a method often used at year end to get those last minute points when it appears you might be short.

@ALISTLUV nice... I try to wrap things up in a pleasant manner and you want to continue the insults. Ok, let's write the only response that would have ever come close to making you happy and then we can all see how ridiculous that would be.
Dear @ALISTLUV, wow I am so incredibly sorry for your situation! Southwest is such an awful money grabbing company and they should give you all your money back and write you a public apology to make everything right. In fact, if there's anything else you want you should totally get it. Maybe companion pass for next year? There's no need for personal responsibility and finding ways to utilize your credits, that should be Southwest's responsibility to hold your hand and make everything perfect for you. Those people that paid attention and asked for ways to gets extensions were all just gaming the system and should not have been allowed to do that. In fact, those extensions should just be cancelled! Yes, Southwest should have given you renewed vouchers immediately, regardless of staffing shortages and a flood of other requests due to this being one of the most difficult periods for the airline industry. How dare they take so long to do you a favor that was not something in policy, but rather a practice they do to be nice. Shame on them for trying to be nice and not getting it exactly as you wanted. It's too bad this is a customer to customer forum that Southwest reps don't monitor because I'm sure they would love to call you right now and get everything fixed. And be sure to ignore all the other people that are going to comment here and tell you you should have handled things differently, they're just all rude and inconsiderate and probably don't have any clue about flying Southwest despite the fact that they all say they fly often and seem to have plenty of other informative responses in other questions. You are the only one right in this situation! Good luck to you!!
Ok, can we be done now?

Thanks for the info. I've recently read that unless you are very specific about brand, condition, and purchase price the depreciated value offered by airlines on most items is quite low. While it may not be what you wanted, the amount received seems rather high. Did you have any additional coverage offered by a credit card or other travel insurance? Those are definitely good options to have on future trips.

@JulieB thanks for the trip report. On flights to Hawaii you are not only getting EarlyBird purchasers, but many people are connecting from earlier flights which allows them to check in 24 hours prior to their first flight which may be several hours before the check-in time for people not connecting.

@ALISTLUV in my very first response I said, "Bummer you've lost funds, but I don't know that you'll get much sympathy here".
So I provided sympathy, then warned you that you wouldn't get more. That's pretty up front and honest. Additionally, Southwest does not monitor these threads.
Thanks for your additional feedback
