I found an interesting new data point. As stated in the article, the new fare will be slotted between WGA and Anytime, and it would not take anything away from any other fare class. Apparently, Southwest also says that they will be increasing the benefits tied to BS, Anytime, and WGA fares. Okay, now I'm truly stumped. If they had said "enhancing", I'd jokingly say that it was a euphemism, but the word used was "increasing".

You will earn Rapid Rewards points and the flight will count towards A List and companion pass Just another note keep in mind with LUV vouchers they don’t cover taxes so you will still have to pay a little bit on a Credit card or use a travel fund and the travel fund will cover taxes. Also note If you pay the taxes with a credit card the funds will keep the expiration date of the voucher should you have to cancel later. if you apply a travel fund the earlier expiration date between the travel fund or voucher will apply. -Blake

@amgibson wrote: Oh, I’ve reached out to southwest and my funds were sent to their bank (Chase) but never received by my bank. This has been ongoing for 3-4 months now. They refuse to help at all. my funds WERE travel funds then they refunded them, after saying they wouldn’t. Plus they didn’t tell me they refunded them so I never knew to look for them for almost a year until I went to use my travel funds and they were gone. The travel funds also don't last forever, there were several extensions that might have applied during the pandemic to make it longer than a year but typically they are to be used within a year of original purchase. That doesn't sound like the issue here if they said it was refunded, then I would be trying to confirm the routing numbers, etc.

I wouldn't say I have had this issue "repeatedly", but I have had sporadic issues when I try to change flights and I cannot do it on my own and I have to contact Southwest to have them resolve the issue. --Jessica

Unfortunately I have to report back that at least some of the flights are not stocked with tonic water. They did have the ginger ale and cranberry cocktail, and I'm pretty sure I saw someone order the OJ on my morning flight.

Check your email and on Southwest.com for a promotional offer - flying one RT to regain your old status. You might need to go on a joy ride, the timing was in November I believe.

In addition, they charged us for a ticket for not having the physical copy of the birth certificate. Even though we had a pic of it along with hundreds of pictures with time stamps on the day she was born. Also had multiple social media posts. They said when we got home we could email a copy and get a full refund for her. We did it and they only gave us a $150 useless credit because we will never fly with them again. SHAME ON SOUTHWEST!!! I have to admit that I am confused.. You may need a birth certificate for lap children (those under the age of 2), but for no others. Someone anywhere near that young would never be forced to sit alone. Please explain... As far as the mask incident goes, mask wearing by EVERYONE age 2 and older is required by federal law. EVERY airline enforces that law. You may not like it, BUT IT IS THE LAW. As said several times up thread, this is a customer forum, and the airline will not resolve specific customer complaints here. Looks like it's a known issue. I can login to the website just fine, but not the app. Hopefully rectified soon. As noted above, you can book without being logged in then add your RR number later, or call to make a points booking. TRAVEL ADVISORY:Issues with Login Issues with Login You may experience errors when attempting to log in. We are working to resolve this problem as quickly as possible. You may still book flights now and add your Rapid Rewards account later. (unable to add screenshots)

For the disney tickets You would need to link your tickets in the Disney app. If your going to disney world (in Florida) it's the my disney experience app and once linked you can use Disney genie to help you with your day at the park. If you are going to Disney World and need help a couple of us here can help as well with tips. Keep in mind for both Disney parks you need a park reservation which you can make after you link your tickets to the Disney app. There is not a way or really even a reason to link your Disney/universal tickets to SW because they are different companies. SW vacations (which is not actually Southwest) might sell a package including tickets but once you get those tickets you would deal with the individual business (Disney and universal in your case) -Blake

Hey there. new to the group. My question on this topic is, what's the difference (if any) between "Award" travel and "Reward" travel? The email I received said: Simply fly two qualifying round trip flights (or four qualifying one-way flights) between August 19 and November 19, 2021 to keep your A-List benefits through December 31, 2022. This offer applies to all flights taken August 19 - November 19, regardless of when they were booked, including award travel! No registration required If I go on the terms and conditions page, it says this: "A qualifying flight for this promotion is a one-way revenue flight on Southwest® from an origin city to a destination city, including any intermediate stops and/or connections on Southwest, or a round trip revenue flight on Southwest from an origin city to a destination city and back to the originating airport or carrier-recognized co-terminal. Companion Pass®, charter flights, reward and group travel, and Southwest Vacations® packages do not qualify as one-way or round trip revenue flight(s) for this promotion. Changes made to any itinerary after purchase of a qualifying flight may eliminate qualification for this promotion" My question is, do flights booked with RR points count for this A-List promo or not? Thank you for any info!

The truth is though that this was NOT weather related. People are posting weather reports from all over the United States. I was sitting at my gate, staring at my empty plane in Tampa and my gate agent who was booking my replacement flight for the next morning (which was cancelled before we even left the airport) told us, "there is no crew, no pilot to fly it." The same thing was happening in Orlando, where they were busing in passengers from and Sarasota. I was talking to my family in Phoenix, who were flying into Florida on American, no weather issues or ATC issues, their flight to Miami was fine. So was my husbands family from San Diego and San Francisco to Salt Lace City and to Atlanta, on Delta. Why are all these other airlines and flights able to fly, but not SWA? Air traffic controllers are part of the FAA, so why are only SWA flights being cancelled? Why am I staying in a hotel with half a dozen other passengers that received hotel and food vouchers and ticket refunds, yet I am stuck paying for my hotel room, new tickets on a different airline and meals, just because I spoke to an uniformed agent? What gives? Where is the SWA heart now, when your customer base needs it most??

With travel funds: if you have a rapid rewards account and your RR number was on the reservation before you cancelled then yes you can see the funds available by logging in to your RR account and go to the "my account" section of the app or website and you should be able to see the funds available. With LUV Vouchers: unfortunately those won't be attached to your RR account unless you book a flight with the voucher and cancel the flight then that cancelled flight becomes a travel fund which you can see in your RR account. If you don't have a RR account then unfortunately you would need the confirmation numbers to look up travel funds. RR means rapid rewards or rapid rewards account -Blake

ATC in Jacksonville had issues and when you add that to airline crew issues it makes a big mess and unfortunately that’s what has happened. once travel is complete I would send an email to southwest and hopefully they can provide compensation for the delay. -Blake

I would reach out on Facebook or Twitter to cancel but you need to cancel the return or you will be considered a no show and you will lose those funds. At least by messaging Southwest on Facebook or Twitter in a DM it will have a time stamp and maybe they will be lenient since it’s very hard to get through on the phone. You could try to cancel on the app and maybe it will work. -Blake
