I am trying to find a way to "gift" in flight drink purchases as Xmas gifts this year. SW does not allow their Southwest Gift Cards to be used for purchasing anything in flight. In asking the agent if a generic VISA gift card could be used, she said she "didn't know why not" but I know that these gift cards are not the same as a credit card, and are often treated differently. Has anyone had any experience in using one of these types of gifts cards on inflight purchases? Thanks!
