I was flying back home to Naples from Providence on a competitor's airline. I was having difficulty at the check in with the paperwork for my service dog. The agents were not being at all helpful. I was sitting near the counters trying to get some help on my phone when a Southwest agent (angel!) noticed my distress. She came over and helped me with some suggestions. Then, having gotten the documentation sorted out, the competition told me it was too late to check my bag, but that they couldn't keep it for someone to pick it up. They wouldn't gate check it even though there was a half-hour before the doors closed. At that point, your agent, Donna, called me over and said she was scheduling me on your next flight out! She and the other Southwest employees were so kind and caring! It was much more than a job to her, it was about compassion and people skills. She even gave me hugs and sent me on my way! Can't thank her and the corporation, for supporting employees like Donna, enough. I promised never to switch from Southwest again. And I won't!
