I want to thank Southwest for being the airline with the best customer service and friendliest employees. I had a a flight booked to travel home to see my dad and step mom for Christmas, but I got an urgent call from my mom yesterday evening. She is ill and has to have emergency surgery next week. I had to change my plans for Christmas very suddenly and I hade no idea what my options are. I know that other airlines require doctors notes, death certificates and and extra $100 before they will allow flight to be changed, so I was nervous. I called the 800 number and reached Gail in customer service. I explained my situation and what I needed and she handled everything for me. She was kind and caring and I felt so relieved. Of all the things that I need to do being leaving for my new trip, this was the easiest. I thank Gail for her compassion and customer service and I thank Southwest for your customer oriented policies Southwest has been my choices for years and will be for years to come.
